In their fourth match of the 2025 Indian Premier League, the Delhi Capitals faced off against the Lucknow Super Giants and came out on top.

Batting first, Lucknow put up a solid total of 209/8. Nicholas Pooran smashed 75 off 30 balls, while Mitchell Marsh contributed 72 off 36. On the bowling side, Digvesh Rathi and Shardul Thakur picked up two wickets each for Delhi.

Chasing 210, Lucknow fought hard, with Ashutosh Sharma’s unbeaten 66 off 31 and Vipraj Nigam’s quickfire 39 off 15 keeping them in the game. They reached the target in 19.3 overs but lost nine wickets along the way. Ashutosh Sharma was named Man of the Match for his match-winning knock.

For Delhi, Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/42, while Kuldeep Yadav chipped in with 2/20. In the end, Lucknow Super Giants clinched a nail-biting victory by just one wicket.
