Rajasthan Royals fought hard in the chase, led by a brilliant 95 off 45 from Riyan Parag and 34 off 21 from Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, they fell just short, finishing at 205/8. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana were key with the ball for KKR, taking two wickets each, while Russell’s all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

Chennai Super Kings:
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) came up just short in a high-scoring thriller against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Match 52 of IPL 2025, losing by just 2 runs.

Batting first, RCB posted a formidable 213/5 on the back of strong performances from Virat Kohli (62 off 33), Jacob Bethell (55 off 33), and a late onslaught from Romario Shepherd, who smashed an unbeaten 53 off just 14 balls to turn the momentum.

In reply, CSK fought hard but ultimately finished on 211/5. Ayush Mhatre led the chase with an aggressive 94 off 48 balls, while Ravindra Jadeja provided a steady anchor with an unbeaten 77 off 45. Despite their efforts, CSK fell just short of the target.

On the bowling front, Matheesha Pathirana impressed for CSK with figures of 3/36, while Lungi Ngidi was the standout for RCB, picking up 3 wickets for 30 runs.

Romario Shepherd was named Player of the Match for his game-changing late cameo that proved decisive in RCB’s narrow win.
