Batting first, Pakistan was bowled out for 241 runs, with Saud Shakeel scoring 62 off 76 balls and Mohammad Rizwan contributing 46 off 77. Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up 2 wickets but conceded 74 runs.

India made the chase look easy. Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 100 off 111 balls and Shreyas Iyer’s 56 off 67 guided them to victory in just 42.3 overs with 6 wickets to spare. Kohli was named Man of the Match, while Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets for 40 runs, and Hardik Pandya chipped in with 2 for 31.

Bangladesh:
Bangladesh faced a defeat against New Zealand in their previous match (6th match) of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Batting first, they posted 236 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, with Najmul Hossain Shanto scoring 77 off 110 balls and Jaker Ali adding 45 off 55. Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman picked up one wicket each.
