Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Capitals Preview:
Riyan Parag’s side has been outstanding with the bat this season, and their confidence is sky-high after a thrilling win over Punjab Kings where they chased down a massive 223-run target with ease, sealing the game by six wickets. However, their bowling has been a concern, and Parag will be hoping for a much-improved performance from his bowlers to strengthen their position on the points table.
At the top, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been in explosive form and will look to provide another flying start alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal. The middle order has also been reliable, with Dhruv Jurel, Riyan Parag, and Donovan Ferreira—who scored a solid 52 in the last match—adding stability and firepower. Players like Shubham Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja, and Dasun Shanaka bring added balance to the squad.
That said, the bowling unit needs to step up. Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger will be key with the new ball, especially against an out-of-form DC top order. In the middle overs, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi will have to control the game with their experience, while Yash Raj Punja, Shanaka, and Parag are expected to contribute in supporting roles.
On the other hand, Axar Patel’s team is coming off a tough defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, where they were bowled out for just 75 and lost by 9 wickets. That heavy loss has pushed them down to seventh on the table, making this a must-win game to keep their playoff hopes alive.
KL Rahul will be crucial at the top and needs to provide a strong start alongside Sahil Parakh. Nitish Rana has shown promise in the middle order, and the team will rely on him, along with Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs, to build partnerships. In the lower middle order, Axar Patel, David Miller, and Abishek Porel must step up and add valuable runs.
Their bowling unit hasn’t been effective this season, and they’ll be under pressure again. Dushmantha Chameera and Kyle Jamieson need early breakthroughs, while Axar Patel and T Natarajan must keep things tight in the middle overs against a strong Rajasthan batting lineup. Kuldeep Yadav will also play an important role, as the team looks to bounce back with a much better all-round performance.
RR vs DC Possible Playing XI:
Rajasthan Royals: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel(w), Riyan Parag(c), Shimron Hetmyer, Donovan Ferreira, Ravindra Jadeja, Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Nandre Burger, Brijesh Sharma.
Delhi Capitals: Sahil Parakh, KL Rahul(w), Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi, Tristan Stubbs, David Miller, Axar Patel(c), Dushmantha Chameera, Kyle Jamieson, Kuldeep Yadav, T Natarajan.

RR vs DC Toss Prediction:
We’re hoping the team wins the toss and chooses to bowl first.
RR vs DC Pitch Report:
The pitch at Sawai Mansingh Stadium is generally well-balanced but leans slightly in favor of batters, especially in T20 matches. The surface offers good bounce and carry early on, allowing stroke-makers to play their shots freely during the powerplay, while scores in the range of 170–190 are quite common in recent games. As the match progresses, the pitch can slow down a bit and become slightly two-paced, bringing spinners and bowlers who rely on variations like cutters into play. Pacers may get some assistance early, but overall, it’s a surface where batters can dominate if they settle in. Teams often prefer chasing here, as conditions tend to remain manageable under lights, making it a competitive venue for both innings.
RR vs DC Weather Report:
Expected Scores:
2nd Innings: 165 – 180 runs
Key Notes:
- Hot but improving evening conditions – pitch slows slightly under lights
- Jaipur surface: Traditionally balanced early, becomes slightly slow in 2nd innings
- Powerplay importance: Strong start crucial; run rate drops after 10 overs
- Dew factor: Moderate chance, may help chasing side in later overs
- Par score: Around 175–180 is competitive on this ground
- Spin impact: Spinners likely to play a key role in middle overs
