In their previous match of IPL 2025, Rajasthan Royals suffered a 44-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Batting first, SRH put up a massive total of 286/6, powered by Ishan Kishan’s unbeaten 106 off 47 balls and Travis Head’s quickfire 67 off 31.

In response, Rajasthan Royals fought hard but fell short of the target. Dhruv Jurel played a brilliant knock of 70 off 35 balls, while skipper Sanju Samson contributed 66 off 37. However, their efforts weren’t enough to chase down the mammoth total.

For SRH, Harshal Patel and Simarjeet Singh picked up two wickets each, while for Rajasthan, Tushar Deshpande (3/44) and Maheesh Theekshana (2/52) were the standout bowlers. Ishan Kishan was named Player of the Match for his explosive century.

Kolkata Knight Riders:
Kolkata Knight Riders began their IPL 2025 campaign with a disappointing 7-wicket loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Batting first, KKR managed 174/8, with Ajinkya Rahane scoring a brisk 56 off 31 balls and Sunil Narine contributing 44 off 26. However, their bowlers struggled to defend the total.

RCB chased down the target comfortably in just 16.2 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 59 off 36 from Virat Kohli and a solid 56 off 31 from Phil Salt. Krunal Pandya starred with the ball, taking 3/29 and earning the Player of the Match award, while Josh Hazlewood chipped in with 2/22.
