Rohit Sharma was not part of playing eleven of the first match and Ishan Kishan open the batting inning of India with Shubman Gill but failed to provide a good opening start their key three batsmen came back to the pavilion on a total of just 16 runs. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav also failed to give the best performance. Suryakumar Yadav failed to open the account on the scoreboard while Virat Kohli scored just four runs. KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Hardik Pandya were the batsmen who put some big runs on the board and played the main role in the win. KL Rahul was the most successful and highest run-scorer from their side with 75 runs to his name on 91 balls with the help of seven boundaries and one huge six. He remained not out till the chase of the target. Ravindra Jadeja scored 45 runs while Hardik Pandya had 25 runs to his name.

Australia had lost the first ODI and now they have to win both remaining matches to win this series of three ODI matches. Australia has a strong batting order but just one batsman, Mitchell Marsh performed well and put some big runs on the board while their main batsmen like Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne, Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, and Marcus Stoinis failed to put some big runs on the board. Mitchell Starc and Marcus Stoinis were the bowlers who performed well and picked some wickets while no other bowler from their side could manage to pick any wickets. Sean Abbott, Cameron Green, Adam Zampa, and Glenn Maxwell failed to pick any wickets. Mitchell Starc was the most successful and highest run-scorer from their side with three wickets to his name in 9.5 overs. Marcus Stoinis also performed well and picked up two wickets while he was charged with 27 runs in seven overs. We think that Australia will make a couple of changes in the final playing eleven of this match as they have to win this match at any cost. If they lose, they will also lose the series of three ODI matches.
